Daily updates

At Marmalade, we’ve created a nursery that feels warm, welcoming and full of care — a place where children can feel safe, happy and confident as they grow.

We know how important those early years are, and we believe every child deserves an environment where they feel valued, supported and excited to learn.

Our Story

Marmalade was created with a simple vision: to offer a nurturing, high-quality early years setting where children can thrive and families feel truly supported.

We wanted to create more than just a nursery. We wanted to create a place that feels calm, caring and full of opportunity — somewhere children can settle in happily, build confidence and enjoy the everyday magic of childhood.

From first friendships and imaginative play to new routines, independence and discovery, we know these early experiences matter. That’s why every part of Marmalade is designed with care, warmth and purpose.

Meet Katie & Sarah

Marmalade is led by Katie and Sarah, who share a passion for creating a nursery that feels personal, nurturing and genuinely special for every child and family who walks through the door.

They understand how much trust parents place in a nursery setting, and how important it is to know your child is not only safe and well cared for, but truly known as an individual.

Their vision for Marmalade is to create a place where children feel happy, secure and inspired, and where families feel welcomed, reassured and part of the journey.

Both Katie and Sarah are recognised Lead Practitioners through Lancashire’s Early Years Quality Improvement Team, reflecting their commitment to exceptional childcare, continual development and high-quality early education.

What Matters Most to Us

Kindness & Care

We believe children flourish when they feel safe, loved and supported by the people around them.

We encourage children to explore, try new things and grow in confidence at their own pace.
